Manual Manufacturing System

The customer required reporting and grouping on manufacturing failures across their product range of 15 Product Families each family having up-to 20 Product types. The manufacturing capacity was in the range of 2500 items per month.

• Manual data entry, Easy and Quick.
• Fault identifier is not always the person that will repair.
• Standard factory process.

Solution

The solution implemented was MS-SQL Server, with C# front end. The main application had all the reporting built in there by allowing each process owner access to the reports relevant for process improvement.

• Visibility of major failing product family or group.
• Visibility of cost of nonconformance including time.
• Trend of failures over time, and results of improvements.
